“No longer there is the shabby classroom. What we see in front of us is a brand new building with shining tiles… Our dream has come true.”

My heart sank whenever I walked in to the campus. It is not that we are not hard working but the school was in such a poor condition. The tiny campus has a few shabby classrooms. The classrooms made of mud can hardly stand in the rain. The desk and chair were made and fixed again and again by our teacher. Even with such desk, we have to share a desk with 4 other kids. Windows are nothing but a wood frame. We are kids from the remote valley and we want to study--Our simple wish is to have our own desk and sit in our own chair, with a class room where we can concentrate on study.

Early 2003, China Tomorrow Education extended us with a helping hand. We were happy beyond ourselves and I cannot even sleep at night. I dreamed about what the new school will look like—big classroom with white wall? We counted our days for the new school construction. Every day, I asked my teacher when we can see the new school and teacher always smiled back at me, “soon”.

Finally it is the day! We all crowed to the playground and watch the constructing workers busy at work.

Soon new semester began and our new classroom was ready. No longer there was the shabby classroom. What we saw in front of us was brand new buildings with shining tiles. I cannot believe my eyes. Our dream comes true. The wall is white and bright, even better than I had pictured. There are aisles of brand new desk and chairs –they are not as good looking as we saw in TV but we do not have to share one single table anymore! The class room has the new lighting. I cannot wait to study! Outside in the campus, we saw beautiful flowers smiling in the sun shine and sweet rain—we all smiled.

Thank CTEF for the change you brought to our school, you provide us with such a nice study environment and help to make our dream come true. We will work hard and report you with our best effort.
