A Collaboration of CTEF and Warm 1+1
During the national holiday, a group of college students came to the rural area in Guizhou. They are the volunteers of Warm 1+1 -- CTEF’s long term partner. Wanping leads the group to a place named Guping, and the story starts from here.
在2008年的国庆期间，杭州一批大学生再次走进了贵州贫困山区。 他们是温暖1+1的助学人员，也是“明日中华教育基金会”合作伙伴。以婉平为代表的浙大学生队伍走到了一个叫谷坪的地方，于是她们就跟这里结下了一段不解之缘—我们一起捐助贫困山区学校的一个个项目。
第一个项目：高余小学
First Project: Gaoyu Elementary school—There is no boundary what can we do
学校修建前原貌：高余小学原学校房子倾斜、四面透风，一到下雨天操场上坑坑洼洼、是孩子们的乐园同时也是鸭子戏水的池塘。
The original school house: the school leaned to side, and wind came in from all directions. Whenever it is raining day, the campus became a joyful place for children and ducks.
在2009年7月15日那天，这个宁静而山区小校园里开始变化了… “温暖1+1助学组”和“明日中华教育基金会”带来了改善学校面貌的一天！ “明日中华教育多会”捐赠51，970.00元帮助高余小学修建学校。孩子们高兴、老师高兴、村民们也很高兴!
July 15, 2009 “Warm 1+1” and CTEF bring change to this school. CTEF donated 51,970 for building new school. We bring happiness to children, teachers and everyone in the village.
一所学生开心、老师关心、家长放心的“明日中华高余小学”教学楼面目一新地出现在人们的眼前。 师生们都来新学校上课啦！！
This is a new school makes students happy, make teachers proud. Parents know their kids can study in a safe and comfortable classroom and exercise in the playground with brand new facility. Everyone came to new school today! Look at the smiles!

What’s next? The drinking water project.
因建校项目款有结余，学校希望再给学校修建一个师生饮用水池。图为寨老带着当地义工到森林里寻找水源。水必须从山中引来。
The school would like to use the remaining fund for a water fountain for teacher and students. This is different from the water fountain that can be readily built in most well developed place. The volunteer has to go look for the water source, the fresh mineral water source from deep in the mountain.

一个月后饮用水引到了高余学校，学校受益、学生能用上自来水，全村人也得了实惠。还在村子中央建了个大大的消防池，防火安全得到了保障，也方便了全村人。
A month later, the water is successfully led to the school with new built water pipe. The school is benefited, the students can drink water conveniently, and everyone in the village benefits. The village further built a pool to protect against fire. Amazingly this costs about $500—and how can we measure the happiness?
我们还可以帮些什么？学校垃圾桶。 由于群众积极投工投劳，建校和自来水项目款还在剩余，又做了些垃圾桶级当地的一些学校。讲究卫生要从娃娃抓起，明日中华资助的垃圾桶又给了谷坪最大的中心校和高余小学。学校的一角垃圾桶成了装饰品. 资助方想得很周到。
What else now? Because the active participation from local villagers, there is still fund left. CTEF and Warm 1+1 decide to make some garbage can for the schools. This is very considerate.
第二个项目：明日中华捐赠冬暧校服
The Second Project: Winter Clothes and school uniform
明日中华对贵州山区的无私奉献“言谢”二字已经无法说得清楚的。愿大山里的孩子们将来，犹如雄鹰用翱翔回报蓝天；如同骏马用驰骋回报草原。好好读书，将来回报家乡，报效祖国，更能像帮助过我们的爱心人士那样帮上更多需要帮助的。
People cannot express their feeling towards the help received from CTEF and Warm 1+1 with simple “Thank you”. We hope the children will grow up to be people with knowledge, with gratitude and help more in need.
明日中华基金会携手温暖1+1为山村的孩子带来温暖的冬衣，棉被，校服。
CTEF and Warm 1+1 Volunteers bring the winter clothes and bedding to the children in desperate need.
这是孩子们最热闹的一天，因为有了 “明日中华”捐赠的校服好开心。校服统一整齐，各少数民族之间就不会觉有差距了，更促进彼此的平等感觉。
This is their day—because they have uniform donated by CTEF. With the uniform, the students do not feel so different even though they come from different minority groups.

Here we would like to have a special acknowledgement to our local volunteer, Wanping Huang. She started her volunteer work from a teaching experience. She was deeply moved by the hush living condition, the inconvenience of the commute, the even heart-hurting desire to study from the children in China rural area. She has a demanding full time job and has to work extra hours most of the time. Still, she forms the habit to check her work with CTEF and Warm 1+1 every day. She said she is lucky to get to know CTEF’s Chinese volunteers and get to help more students with CTEF—every single book, every piece of clothes, every dormitory, every school, and every smile. We feel the same—we are so lucky to have such dedicated local volunteers helping us, over the years. She said that her volunteer work is a splendid rainbow in her life. She lost a lot but gained even more—the happiness when extending help, the beautiful scenery in the country side, the friendship, the pure smile, and a true heart.
