CTEF (China Tomorrow Education Foundation) recently organized a donor training event to help our donors better communicate with unprivileged Chinese students.

With 1+1 sponsorship program, many of our donors asked how to communicate to the students they sponsored. We think one way is to share information systematically with the students about how to become a successful person. To do this, we have been working hard to identify good information to get them started. We are fortunate to have Mr. Jannick B. Pedersen, Managing Partner at FranklinCovey nordic approach, to give us a training session on the very popular personal improvement class --   The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. Mr. Pedersen is a successful business leader and has trained thousands of people on the 7-Habits through his own company FranklinCovey Nordic Approach (a licensee of FranklinCovey). He and FranklinCovey donated these training materials to us.

The 4-hour event is held at Microsoft campus on Mar 20th.   All of us enjoyed the fun and meaningful lecture.  Many participants emailed us and said that the materials are very useful, and are deeply impressed by the way Mr. Jannick carry out the lecture. Some said that it changes the way they look at things and might indeed be a life changing event.  Others are very interesting in applying what they learn to work, life and the way they can help others to live better. A couple of participants even volunteered to help with further training.

We certainly hope that this will be one of the many upcoming donor events that help us all grow towards a greater goal.
