One of CTEF's early board members, Dongjin Cai, was passing through Seattle on Sunday, Sept 25th, from China to his family in Connecticut and spent a few hour between flights to brief us on his recent work.

He was working on teacher training program for Zigan Fund in three towns this summer. Working with each local school district, each session trained about 40 elementary and junior high teachers, who in turn will teach/train another group. The materials were authored by Zigan's professional team for a few years now.

Dongjin is the one who connected CTEF with the Honeywell engineer Richard Hoeg. Richard Hoeg  raised money to one school and one dormitory in Ling Yun, Guangxi.

He also showed us a recently published book on the experience of various NGOs helping many rural schools including the community center we co-sponsored with Interglow. The book also covers areas that NGOs should know and steps to avoid in doing our work. We will get copies for each of our staff.
