RECENT PROJECTS
In 2008, CTEF has approved 28 Projects in 8 provinces with spending of RMB 4 Million
Yuan (USD $580K), among which 23 were school building projects, 5 were library projects.
EARTHQUAKE RELIEF PROJECTS
On May 12, 2008 a catastrophic earthquake killed more than
70,000 people, destroyed or severely damaged over 8000 schools and displaced millions of school children in Sichuan and Gangsu Provinces, China. CTEF created the Earthquake Relief Fund to rebuild schools and communities and help the school children in the earthquake impacted areas.
Thanks to the generous donations from people around the world, the CTEF Earthquake Relief Fund reached over USD $357,000. All the volunteer staff and field coordinators at CTEF have been working very hard to address all types of needs of the school children directly affected by the earthquake.
